Celebrating five wonderful years of gifting

So we have finally reached a milestone and who'd have thought so? Especially not us on many occasions! To begin with, we had no plan or idea of what exactly we wanted to do. Then the thought alone of starting a business was daunting enough, let alone all the struggles and legalities and requirements that will come with it. Did I mention the lack of experience we had? 

But somehow we took that initial step and nothing that came after was as difficult as that first step of starting. Do you ever hear stories of businesses that started up in the basement or garage or spare room...ideas that were roughly jotted down on the back of an envelope? Ours is exactly one of those stories. 

We spent hours researching the market, reading reviews, gaining knowledge. Travel and explore wasn't an option due to personal commitments so we exhausted the internet for ideas and inspiration. All this was done from the comfort of our homes, whilst managing our family life. Some schedules were being made in the middle of the night, whispering over sleeping babies! 

We knew this was never going to be easy.

But going to work isn't easy either yet many of us just carry on. And that's exactly what you have to do when you set up your business, you have to carry on. You need to be consistent. And you have to have a passion for what you're doing. 

Don't be afraid to take that first step, you'll never know what you can achieve if you don't give it a try.
